Halloween 2009

Halloween? Trick or Treat? I really have to put that hat on my head and keep it there? What is going on around here?!!!!!

I really do not understand what it is you are expecting me to do. I think we need to do a few practice runs to get the hang of it. First things first, let me start with a costume that dosent have a hat. Here I am as a superhero. My monkey sidekick also has super powers. Together we can save the world!
Now that I am comfortable with a costume, lets put mine on. I have been pointing out pumpkins to mom and dad on our walks. Now it is time for me to become one! Now these treats you speak of. . . . tell me more. I know how to get a treat out of the closet and give it to Harley but noone has ever taught me how to receive a treat. You tell me these treats go into this bucket but I better inspect it further. Mommy used this bucket 30 years ago when she was my age. I better look it over carefully to make sure there are no holes in the bottom. I do not want to loose these treats I am going to work so hard for!Next up, let practice asking for treats. Nana and Papa came over to help me grasp the asking nicely concept. TRICK OR TREAT NANA! I think I might shorten this to TREAT!Daddy and I are ready to hit the town!
Our first stop is grandma and grandpa's house. I saw my buddy Jack Jack and went to say hi.

Hey Jack Jack! Nice costume! HI FIVE!!!!

TREAT GRANDPA!
Here is Paxton on his first Halloween. I can not wait until next year when he and I can go out together!
All in all it was a success. I really got the hang of it. I tried to leave my bucket with a neighbor and take hers instead. She had more treats than I did. My daddy didn't let me though. Then at another house, after I was gererously given two lollypops, I actually asked for more! All the neighbors kept saying they could not believe how big I had gotten! I cant wait to do this again. Can we do it again tonight?
